In the “Meet Me at the Market” module of the Bachelor's degree program in Trends & Identity at ZHdK, we had five weeks to design, manufacture, and sell a product from scratch. After a long but rewarding process, I have now produced and sold over 60 ceramic rabbits, some of them independently via social media and art markets, others through stores such as Collab Zurich and Finally Design. Starting with a run of 20 rabbits priced at 16 CHF, I learned a lot over the months about monetizing and appreciating my own work, with the retail price of the rabbits, including packaging, now at 26 CHF.  The "listening bunnies" have been my most rewarding project so far, and it has given me great pleasure to see how positively and warmly people have responded to my bunnies.

During the design process, I explored mental health and found great joy in small, seemingly simple objects that can make people happy. With two open ears, the porcelain bunnies offer comfort and support in good times and bad, listening without judgment and accompanying you through everyday life. They are a form of prevention and care in a very simple object that works as a gift for others and also for yourself. They are handmade and painted in the ceramics workshop at ZHdK.
